I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University. I employ formal-theoretic models to analyze the inner workings of autocratic regimes, with an emphasis on elite-level politics and authoritarian power sharing. Currently, my research focuses on the composition of the ruling coalition and the presence of intra-elite rivalry. In particular, I examine how variations in the coalition influence the dictator's ultimate goal of power consolidation. Contact: ss5370 [at] columbia.edu |
